How do I EQ an audio file online?
Upload your audio file, adjust the 10 frequency band sliders from -12 to +12 dB, or pick a preset. The tool processes your audio through a chain of filters and gives you a downloadable result.
What frequencies do the 10 bands cover?
31 Hz, 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz, and 16 kHz. This covers the full audible spectrum from deep bass to high treble.
What EQ presets are available?
Flat (no change), Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Vocal Boost, Rock, Jazz, and Podcast. Each preset sets the 10 sliders to optimized values for that use case.
Can I boost bass on a song online?
Yes. Select the Bass Boost preset or manually raise the 31 Hz, 63 Hz, and 125 Hz sliders. The tool applies the EQ and lets you download the bass-boosted version.
Does this upload my audio to a server?
No. The EQ runs through the Web Audio API's BiquadFilterNode chain entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. The equalizer works in any modern mobile browser. The slider layout scrolls horizontally on small screens.
How do I EQ a vocal recording to reduce muddiness?
Cut the 250 Hz band by 3 to 6 dB to reduce boxiness. Cut 500 Hz slightly if it still sounds hollow. Add 2 to 4 dB at 2 kHz to 4 kHz for presence and clarity. Use the Vocal Boost preset as a starting point, then adjust to taste.
