8D audio is an effect that makes sound appear to move in a circle around your head. It uses HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) processing to simulate 3D positioning. The effect only works with headphones.
Yes. The 3D spatial effect relies on the difference between what your left and right ears hear. Speakers cannot reproduce this. Use any headphones or earbuds.
Yes. The speed slider goes from 0.1 Hz (very slow, one rotation every 10 seconds) to 2 Hz (fast, two rotations per second). The default of 0.25 Hz is one rotation every 4 seconds.

About 8D Audio
8D audio uses HRTF spatial processing to make sound appear to rotate around your head. The effect simulates 3D positioning by adjusting timing and frequency differences between your left and right ears. Stereo headphones are required.
