What does Auto-Master do to my audio?
It applies a chain of professional processing: high-pass filter to remove rumble, compression to even out volume, EQ to add clarity, a limiter to prevent clipping, and loudness normalization to hit platform standards.
How does it know if my audio is speech or music?
The tool analyzes the dynamic range and channel count of your audio. Speech tends to be mono with a narrow dynamic range. Music tends to be stereo with a wider dynamic range. You can override the detection manually.
Can I adjust the enhancement level?
Yes. Choose between Subtle (light touch), Standard (balanced), and Strong (aggressive processing). Standard works for most files.
Does this upload my audio to a server?
No. The entire processing chain (high-pass filter, compressor, EQ, limiter, loudness normalization) runs through Web Audio API nodes in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
What is the difference between Auto-Master and the separate compressor or EQ tools?
Auto-Master applies a fixed, opinionated chain tuned for speech or music in one click. The separate tools (compressor, equalizer, LUFS normalizer) give you full control over each parameter. Use Auto-Master for a quick result; use the individual tools when you need to fine-tune.
